So What's The Tea?

Updated: Dec 16, 2023

First off, welcome to the blog! Grab your tea or champagne, whichever strikes your fancy, because I’m about to give you the scoop on what’s new. I am Rhiannon Cueto, for those of you who don’t know me. I have been doing bridal hair and make up for the last six years for one of the top hair and makeup companies in Houston, but before going into the wedding industry, I went to Sam Houston State University to study math. It was there that I found my true passion for beauty. So I followed my heart and went to cosmetology school instead continuing on at SHSU. After I completed my cosmetology program, I started the instructor program (to teach hair).. I am sharing this background with you, so you know why I’m leading up to this- I have always had a passion for teaching and sharing knowledge. The aha moment is something that I love to see, and be part of and most of all, I enjoy getting to help someone gain confidence. After having two kids and Nick switching careers where he now has the weekends off, I have decided to dive into this other passion of mine, and start teaching hair to professionals and everyday gals. This is not only to fill the void, but also to be home more with my family. So I started Stylist & Co. My ultimate goal is to have my books full with Stylist & Co. clients where I do what I love all while being a present for mom and wife. While I had full intentions of continuing bridal hair, and make up where I was previously contracting for about another year, things just didn’t work out that way, and things ended more quickly than expected..and that’s okay. Truthfully, that gave me the shove that I needed to go for it and start my own company where I can follow all of my passions and work for myself.

I do love weddings and getting to be part of someone’s special day, but I also would love to have another focus group of reoccurring and established clients. I form connections with my clients and after spending an hour or two talking to them in my chair I need a life update from them every once in a while. To primarily focus on being a wedding hair and makeup company I would need to build a SET team, which I don’t have a employee based team *yet*, I do have some of my best gals contracting for me to cater to my bigger bridal parties and events! These girls and I met through working in the wedding industry, and every time we worked together people always commented on how great we are at doing hair and makeup at the same time. Daizy and Abby, the two girls you see me sippin' tea with, not only do hair and makeup, but Daizy has her own business, Glossy, where she does eyebrows and facials, and Abby, @ abby_yourhairgirlhtx, does cut and color, and together their most recent venture is starting a podcast called “like hello?” - which I cannot wait to be on and talk about wedding industry things with them! I am so thankful to be able to call these girls my besties. Although we are in the same industry, doing hair and makeup ( + our other passions), instead of it causing hardships between us, we are embracing and encouraging each other by helping one another as each of our companies get bookings. We are each others support team + cheerleaders. If you want to get to know us more individually head over to the about page.

Speaking of "team", Delaney and Taren, my sisters, are my assitants for hair and makeup AND a big part of our Fashion Styling expierence. All three of us sisters have a different style that we lean into.. I will be diving deeper into this on another post, so I wont elaborate now, but this gives us the upperhand when catering to a fashion client. We start with a basic get to know me phone call, and figure out what package works best for you + which sister will take lead on the styling. I cant wait for you to get to know us three, we are the eptiome of sisters- we fight one second and the next we are laughing- truly built in best friends.

Now, lets touch on a couple more Stylist & Co. "get to know me's". Our studio location is in Conroe, Tx, perfectly placed around the 150+ "Houston" wedding venues. If this is too far for you to travel to for your hair and makeup, or a class, I am happy to come to you for a travel fee- no matter the service number. We also travel FAR. Are you having a destination wedding? We are your girls! I have done over 5 destination weddings in my career, and even more destination styled shoots. I love to travel, and getting to create pretty things in pretty places. We are by appointment/booking only, but available 7 days a week. Emails, DMs, phone calls and texts will be answered asap, but please allow up to 24- 48 hours, especially on weekends and holidays.

I am so excited you made it here! After reading this long post as a thank you, I am offering you 20% off my website pricing on a single hair and makeup service (not including packages) from now until Feb. 2024 if you mention you read this post. I can’t wait to share more on the blog. Tune in weekly for of all things beauty, or maybe just a little something for your entertainment! - Until then.

XoXo,

Rhiannon
